Although I mostly stay at Marriott properties in addition to several stays per year at Hilton, IHG and Accor hotels, llast year I have also stayed at:
- U Nimman (U Hotels) in Chiang Mai, which I like (I have previously stayed there 6 times and enjoy the Nimman area).
- Sala Samui Chaweng, which is also pleasant to stay at. The property color is white and needs constant painting "adjustments". I liked the was the pool room was designed, but the highlight was the early breakfast on the beach.
- Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan (Minor) in a beach front villa with pool. My second stay at this hotel which is very well located and has nice villas on the beach, a few yards away from the water. The management could be improved.
In the past, I have also stayed a couple of times at 137 Pillars in Chiang Mai. A luxury boutique hotel with a lot of character.
In Chiang Mai, a few years ago, I stayed at the Rachamankha, another luxury boutique hotel, which design I really liked, but less the management. The hotel is part of the Mr & Mrs Smith "Travel Club".
