This has always puzzled me. I have an Alaska flight tomorrow morning.Two days ago I got a plea from them to reschedule on a different flight, offering me $25 to do so. Today, I got another one, this time offering me $350. Waiting pays! This seems to happen with some regularity on Alaska. My question is, how do they get oversold? Um, you don't sell more tickets than you got seats. But maybe they intentionally oversell, because they assume that some people will not check in?
