As for supply and demand - that's the thing - there has been no change in the number of seats available on my flight. On or about August 1 the cost jumped between $50 and $100 a seat.

It never occurred to me that the MCE seats would increase in price - pretty stupid of me to wait, I guess. I thought the previous cost was reasonable, but now knowing what I could have upgraded for I am balking. Lesson learned.
