Essentially, BA wrongfully denied us boarding (via a mistake they made), and so at the last minute we had to secure tickets on Virgin to return from London to the US at great expense to us.

Problem is, as US residents, we don't have an address in the UK which appears to be a requirement to pursue an MCOL claim, in the event that the CEDR claim outcome is not satisfactory. Are there any reliable services out there that handle such claims for non-UK residents? Any ideas? Thanks.
Is there a reason why you do not wish to issue proceedings out of your local small claims court? That would solve your service address conundrum.
