Once you have requested the conversion it is not reversible. The big advantage is that KL allows upgrades from all paid fares. And KL-PL have access to all KL lounges worldwide and NW Worldclubs in US. CO does not allow Upgrades for KL-PL. NW allows upgrades 5 days before departure but no Companions. Overall KL-PL is your best option.
Thanks for the quick reply! I'm assuming they'll do this for NW-Gold members as well? It looks like I'll fall short of Platinum this year (Took advantage of some dirt cheap CO flights to US, but paid the price in only getting 50% EQM)...
