I've been to over one dozen USC@ND games over the last thirty years. The vast majority of USC fans fly in and out of Chicago and stay in Chicago hotels, not in South Bend (which is a dump & doesn't have any luxury hotels). The USC Marching Band and Cheer Squad hold their pre-game pep rally on Friday in Chicago (frequently at Navy Pier). This is all by way of saying that I would be very surprised if many USC fans are willing to pay a premium for LAX-SBN over LAX-ORD. On the other hand, it doesn't take many fans to fill one plane...
