Lines are usually quite bad at that time at YVR. It takes at least 10 minutes to walk from the internationl terminal over to the domestic terminal then pax has to clear security again over at domestic. So if your friend can rebook for free, I would do it. AC's minimum legal connection time for international to domestic at YVR is 80 mins. Otherwise, even if your friend makes it, bags most likely won't!
