But I'd like to think that avek00 would take a bit of a light touch upon coming back ... and recognize that there are things that could be said by others that will get much more of a (and much different of a) reaction coming from him because of his posting history.

gleff the facts SADLY are that the first 2 things
avek00 did when his FT time-out was lifted yesterday were in this order:
1. To deny point blank on the CO board that he had in fact been suspended by Randy, terming it with a smiley as just a "rumour." This kid must really think we are all idiots.
2. To directly cause
Maws22 to leave posting on FT.
Based on that, I would have to agree with you 5 days was not sufficient at all. It clearly did not teach
avek00 any lesson whatever, and yes a lot longer in "protective custody" (such a neat term) might be a viable option as you outline.
For 5 days these FT boards were free from flames and controversy.
avek00 returns from the wilderness and the BA, AA and CO boards are aflame. And there is one person and one person only to blame, due to the posts he makes -
avek00.
Reading his posts in the past 24-36 hours he blames his current mess on me. Then on Jon NYC. Then on Otto Graham, and I am sure on everyone else that tells him to p!ss off.
Everyone but himself. There is something wrong with this picture.
Had he copped his punishment, learned something from it, and come back to FT with a different and less controversial attitude (most especially in the first week back) many here would have cut him some slack. I feel sure Randy urged him to do just that.
I certainly would have been pleased to cut him a lot of slack if there was even a tiny glimmer he had cleaned up his act just one iota. Sadly, all he wants to do is cause riots and thread lock downs and did so from his very first post back. He REVELS in it. It appears to be his sole goal on FT. Never contributes one post of value IMO.
There must be 200 threads locked down this year in a legion of Forums due entirely to his "participation". He has caused more work for Moderstors this year than ALL other FT'ers combined I can bet.
Maws22 - I hope you come back soon. Airline employees like you are worth 500 avek00s - IMO. As unlike him you actually know something about BA.
