You say that but I was once a flight from JFK-LHR (departed 11pm) and seated in Premium expecting dinner and surprise, there was an announcement made shortly after take-off to say no dinner was going to be served as they were doing some trial on the night flights. We would only get a small snack followed by a hot breakfast an hour before landing. If they at least had the decency to tell us earlier then I would have at least been able to buy something for dinner to have on the plane but nope instead I spent most of the flight starving and when I asked if they had any food at all they could give me, they just told me 'no'. I wrote in a complaint a day or two after the flight and never got a response.

After that experience, even though I have VS Silver, I only fly with Delta on overnight flights and prefer them on day flights as I know I'll get two meals as with Virgin it's not guaranteed as I found out.
