I wonder what Jetblue's contract of carriage says about this type of change - I'll have to give it a read later tonight. My best guess right now is that before your flight, you could have demanded a full refund for your flight and not traveled, or gotten a full refund and then independently booked a last-minute economy ticket yourself.
