I'm sorry. I think I didn't understand exactly what you mean...
My US destination from EU was LAS. I wanted a "side" trip between my arrival at LAS and my departure back to Europe. What I did was put LAS as departure city in the main page of google flight, select the generic "US" as destination, set roundtrip, dates and airlines and then in the map that opens see if there are cities with a price right for my needs.
