I live about equidistant between AUS and GRK. For a trip last week I flew out of and into GRK. And yes, "active duty military," are usually half or even more of the aircraft. However, they realize that, and most will board (usually the E175) leisurely. For the DFW-GRK leg, the flight left from a gate right across from the USO, and many went straight from the USO elevator to our gate.
