A couple days ago, my wife's Instagram feed led her to a hotel she absolutely fell in love with: Domes White Coast Milos. We've long talked about taking a vacation in a similar setting: on the beach, with not too many other people around - and the private mini-pools really sealed it for us. Prices looked reasonable, from around 500 Euro/night. Of course, "from" is a jumping-off point and when I looked at our dates (early August 2024), they basically doubled. That killed it for us, but at least now that we have a reference point for the experience we want. With that in mind, I'm hoping FT could put our collective wisdom together and find a cheaper alternative somewhere in Europe. It honestly doesn't matter where - living in a Delta hub (MSP), we can probably get to most places with one stop either in CDG or AMS. Appreciate any and all ideas!

Just to be clear, because apparently it bears pointing out specifically: I am aware of the fact that most (though not all) hotels have not yet released 2024 pricing. I am also not expecting anybody to do any of my research for me. I am just looking for first-hand accounts. I don’t expect most prices to change dramatically year over year, so if you stayed at a property like this last year, or are planning a stay this year, I’d love to hear from you. I am also not looking for “cheap” hotels. But I have a tough time believing 1200 bucks is bottom dollar, even in high season. And the in-room/in-patio pool is a must-have.
