Is the regular security slow at NCE? This would be around 10:30ish I would guess for the UA flight. It is a Friday morning in August.
You have to go through security and passport control. In my experience, security is pretty fast, especially when you use the priority security line(s). Passport control can be slow at NCE. Thus I recommend giving yourself plenty of time. Generally, there is also extra control at the gate for flights going to the US.
Also, August is peek travel season for the French riviera so it can get quite busy.
