I have done exactly this and it doesn’t work. Earlier I was able to access a seat map that had all the other seats blocked except exit row seats. However, it didn’t let pick them in the end. Now it doesn’t even show that. I’ve also contacted CS through whatsapp and called once to no avail. Last time the agent told that he asked a more senior colleague but only suggestions were to call Finnair or wait until check-in.
