Founders Card is doing a carbon copy of the Bilt promo. Hyatt has been goosing Globalist every year one way or another. There have been AA fast tracks every year, business card sign up double nights, etc. This is a feature not a bug. They probably have data that people who obtain Globalist tend to strive for it in the future.
I'm just disappointed they are allowing the use of these promos for re-qualification.
I decided a long time ago my relationship was with the properties I frequent, not the chain, but you still need status for that to work. I'm just going to try and get lifetime globalist as quickly as possible - which can't be gamed - and stop worrying about this stuff.
