yes I agree that seems to happen sometimes. As another member has said the regions matter as well. And also being pushy and at least to pretend to know the rules. Last month I had a LCC in Asia cancel my flight. Yes they did give me the option of taking a flight after 24 hours. But the flight was cancelled a couple of weeks before my scheduled date but I managed to get them to reroute me and also get a voucher. Sometimes you hit luck and sometimes the effort it takes is too much and that is what airlines are banking on. Make it difficult and the passengers would walk away.

I also think the relationship between airlines and also their staff does help a lot too in these scenarios especially at airport level when you have to rebook your passengers on their airline. Certainly in Asia it does.

Ah yes the good old FIM. What an easy document it was.
