Transit time JFK T8...?

I got a nice Finnair deal to JFK on these forums, but want to do a quick turnaround...

Landing 19:05 into JFK-T8 with AY - does anyone know if you have to clear security/customs and re-checkin; or can you just transit with a boarding pass? Hoping to make either the 21:00 or 23:00 BA to LHR..
