I just checked in today (Monday) for a 4 night stay. Loving it so far.
Booked a regular room, received platinum upgraded to an executive room on the 32nd (top) floor with panoramic views of the city and the hills in the distance. Both the room and bathroom are really nice and big. Modern touches and a lounge along the window. As a solo business traveler, this is just perfect and probably one of my favourite regular rooms of any hotel. I don't actually want multiple rooms (a suite) when I travel by myself.
I was going to have dinner at the hotel, but it's quite pricey. The buffet at Flavor was $us 140 / person. Luckily, there are heaps of other options. Directly connected to the hotel is a shopping centre that's rather high end. On the top (11th) floor, there are a few restaurants. On the bottom (1st) floor, there's a train station with many more and more affordable options.
Pro tips:
- When arriving from the airport: Take the 6020 airport limousine bus. Walk through the shopping center on the 2nd floor to get to the JW Marriott Hotel. The airport bus actually announced this, which was convenient.
- Checkin is on level 8. Guests with lounge access can check in and out at the lounge, on level 9.
