Wowsers! I'm a plat and am (according to my fiancee) pretty darned picky about accomodations. We stayed at the Hotel & Towers for New Years 2003/2004, and had a great stay. (It was on points). They put us on the club floor; it was a nice room with an awesome view of Times Square. (Keep in mind that I b!tch if I'm in the exit row with a seat that doesn't recline). Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to at the Hotel & Towers again.

gbeaumont, no matter where you stay in the Manhatten area, you will be close to everything. I was surprised at how compact of an area the 'tourist traps' are located in. We walked from Central Park to the Empire State Building, stopping at Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and many other attractions. We caught the subway to go to the Statue of Liberty and Twin Towers area. Don't let the maps fool ya ... everything's very close.
I recommend that you get the free guide from this website: http://www.nycvisit.com/content/index.cfm?pagePkey=11

I'm glad to see that, so far, no one's told you to 'use the search function.'
