Note to mods: I looked for an all-purpose thread on "Delta IT issues", as I thought I've seen one in the past, but could not locate it despite my best efforts with the "search this forum" function as well as browsing the first 5 pages of threads. Please move this post as appropriate.
Checking in for my flight this afternoon in Delta One. As I understand it, as a Platinum Medallion in Delta One, I am entitled me to 3 free checked bags (and I intend to check 3 as I am bringing a lot of stuff for family members). In the past, as memory serves, when, at online check-in, whether on the website or the FlyDelta app, you increment the number of checked bags, the corresponding fee displays. However, as of now, on both the website and the Fly Delta app, the tool does not even allow me to increment past 2 checked bags. The website correctly documents that I am entitled to 3 checked bags. The app erroneously reports that I am entitled to 2.
Anyway, there are two issues here: (1) Inability in either the app or on the website to specify more than 2 checked bags (regardless of whether those bags beyond #2 are free or not) and (2) Incorrect info on the app on the free checked baggage allowance.
I realize this can be taken care of at the airport, but the online check in should be self-sufficient and correct.
Screen shots from both the website and the app below, redacted to delete PII.
Check in on Delta website correctly indicates I can check up to 3 bags for free (I am a PM in Delta One), but the dropdown menu for number of checked bags does not go past 2.
Fly Delta app incorrectly states that the free checked baggage allowance is 2, and in any case the checked bag counter cannot be incremented past "2".
