So, I bought myself a SunPass Pro and this morning I set up my account with my Hertz rental. Everything seemed set up alright in my SunPass account page. I drove from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls and passed a few E-Z tolls on the way. Then I crossed the Peace Bridge from Buffalo to Canada and choose the E-Z pass only lane. The gate wouldn't open. I had to reverse and pay with card instead.

I logged into my Sunpass account and no transactions have been recorded. Not sure why, maybe the Sunpass Pro transponder I bought is faulty. Or maybe it takes a nightly run from Sunpass to EZ-pass to update plates?

I any case, I risk getting charged through the nose by Hertz when they get the bills for the E-Z tolls I drove past without a functioning E-Z pass. What "administration fee" do they charge for that?
