I must admit that I am in the camp that finds SG a bit boring and character-less. It is somewhat too sterile. Between city-states, I would choose HK any day.
I think a local could show you all the interesting parts of Singapore
like their museums and for amazing nature, the islands a ferry ride away from the city!
