That's surprising that they had a 36GB plan for HK$488 available that many years ago. If that's the case, I'm surprised that they don't have anything better on the new cards. I have an old China Unicom HK prepaid SIM that has very good voice rates while roaming (HK$0.45/minute) but the best it can do for data is HK$118/1GB/30 days.
The 36GB add-on is new. I'm pretty sure it wasn't there last year. What I was saying is that when they introduce a new add-on like this it automatically becomes available to older SIMs that are no longer sold. I just double-checked through their app and indeed I can use it on my decade-old SIM.
