The economy lot pricing is usually very reasonable if you book at least a couple weeks in advance and for more than a day or two. Not too far off from inflating up the $12/day that Lot C cost before it closed. It's *much* better lit and easy to get around in, and with advance booking you can also be sure you'll get a spot. There were times when I got to Lot C and they had the "lot full" sign out - I managed to find a spot anyway, but it took much longer and meant having to show up even earlier at the airport. The sign with counts and the space indicators also have been good for parking quickly. Once the people mover is running it should also be much quicker to get to/from the terminal, and more importantly when on your way out of LAX, more predictable.
