Flew JFK-HEL in J on Thursday. At priority check-in my larger cabin bag was weighed (had 1+1 items) but as it weighed only 8kgs I had no problems. We were given tags for our cabin bags but there was no control at priority side at gate. While boarding heard though that some people on regular side had to leave their cabin bags at the gate to be moved to hold.

We were at JFK already 4,5 hours before scheduled departure time and I was positively surprised that check-in was already opened. Our taxi took only 50 minutes from 7th Ave/54th Street to JFK, driver took surface roads through Queens and drove like a mad man
