Holiday Inn Washington (UK)

Holiday Inn Washington (UK)

What is your Priority Club status?
Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
No

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Double room, no upgrade

How are the rooms?
Tiny
Windows can open
Wifi works

How is the exec. lounge?
None

What was good and what was bad?
Good - got welcome points and breakfast. Obviously I booked a rate without breakfast, but inexplicably, check in and restaurant thought the rate included breakfast, so gave the points too.
Breakfast was just average and not much selection.
Free parking with no registration needed

Bad - On arrival receptionist was looking down at a piece of paper for about 40 seconds before acknowledging my presence.
Specifically stated no upgrade and that they would not be honouring the room preferences so I got the furthest room from the entrance (at least the view from the room was reasonable).
Although there is a shortcut to the back carpark from the building with the rooms (a separate building connected by a bridge to the restaurant/front desk).

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
£74 but booked the day before so not too bad. Might return in the same situation if it's cheap (all other possible hotels were outrageously priced).
