how was pre-clearance wait time and YYZ in general this past march break? I'm planning a trip for next march break which will require a positioning flight from YYZ to JFK on separate ticket... . even before covid i haven't flown during march break for a very long time so not sure what to expect and how much buffer to put in between my positioning flight and the long haul from JFK.

The long haul flight at JFK is 11PM Sat night, planning to fly out from YYZ Saturday morning start of march break, or early afternoon to ensure that I have a long enough layover at JFK and that there is at least 1-2 flights after mine in case of delays / cancellations

AC site says for US departures arrive 3 hrs ahead of time.

no nexus/ge.. but will have an amex plat for priority security. 4 pax, 3 with Canadian passport and 1 with US B1/B2 Visa. could we call use MPC?

based on above should i expect it to take about 3 hours at YYZ, or it will likely be much longer?
