the other thing is that not all Private Bank company have an active relationship with Amex, most others simply promote their own credit card. Strangely, although they have one of the largest share of the market with their own BarclayCard, Barclays looks to be the one that openly advertise Amex Platinum as an option via their introduction for their Wealth and Private customers.
