I think the problem is that they use the same/similar menu template for different routes.
So the hot midflight snacks are listed, along with the disclaimer that they are "available on select departures" (there are plenty of examples of this in pictures on this thread). But they aren't actually available on the shorter flights, and never have been. The wording used to be similar for the pajamas (can't remember exactly how they phrased it), but now they specify it's for 12+ hour flights.
