- Any difference if I book a basic economy fare vs. economy?

I have no DL status and no DL credit cards at this time.

There is no longer a cancellation charge for Main cabin awards originating from North America and you can get miles and fees back up until departure with no charge. Basic Economy awards have a 9,900 mile deduction on domestic awards (19,900 on international) which apply if you cancel after the 24 hour worry free cancel period.
