AA's site errors out when searching for purchased flights for the above one-way itinerary for any class of service even though it shows "Main Cabin" with an award search. I am able to see Business Class availability for this itinerary on CX's site. This makes me wonder if AA's site is working properly with CX for awards as it definitely not working for purchased tickets?
If I end up booking a paid ticket on CX for this one-way itinerary (TPE - SIN), is it better for AA miles to book thru AA or book thru CX with my AA number in the reservation?
The site is working properly. Just because CX has awards available on their site does not mean they make them available to book through a partner. And not all routes available for purchase on the CX site will be available for purchase through a partner.
