Currently in the process of relocating to Denver, CO from Canada. I am getting conflicting advice on whether I should continue to utilize my Aeroplan account or whether I should start using MIleagePlus instead. As of now, I am inputting my Aeroplan number, even on domestic United flights. I would rather use one account instead of splitting between the two. Are there any obvious benefits or shortcomings of sticking with one over the other?

I currently have 75K status with AC and am an Amex Platinum CC (US) cardholder. I will be flying domestically within the US, but also flying back to Canada regularly.
