Actually, your figures are off.

The .50 is only for CX-CX AFTER 30OCT23 I-I and ONLY for flights without specific requirements (such as extra checks, etc). Flights with extra checks can take up to 2.40 hours MCT.

For the currency season, the MCT is mostly suppressed at EF, and as such the default 1.30 MCT is applicable, with even connecting to some flights requiring up to 2.40 MCT.

For practical purposes, when one is flying CX-CX onward to destinations without requirements for extra checks, a 60-minute MCT is feasible, with CX supporting this, by a free booking to a later flight policy in case the incoming CX is late.
