The public tennis courts and playing fields will be replaced by 2 mixed use towers , a hotel , an 80,000 seat baseball stadium and an indoor mixed use rugby stadium with 15,000 seats. All this will be built along side a mostly un-used olympic stadium of which the pine tree'd forested grounds were concreted over.
So what used to be free public space was sold to developers and much of what is being built will cost money to use? Do cities/ku use the profit from such sales to shore up shortfalls in taxes for maintaining infrastructure or something else which benefits residents?
Are some of the trees the kind which cause bad allergies?
