Sure is sad what is considered a great deal these days. I got excited seeing your post so I checked and the cheapest rate I see over the next few weeks is ~$269 (+ $40 Resort fee so ~$310) BEFORE tax. I remember the good old days of about a decade or so ago where this hotel was as low as $79-89 per night in the Summers. I remember booking it a couple times under the Virtuoso rate (along with like a G2 or maybe even a 5k pt bonus) and I'd stop by this hotel on my drive from AZ to CA just to check in, eat my $100 worth of Virtuoso grub, and then I'd continue on my journey. One time I actually did stay the night (July 4th cuz I remember watching fireworks from the old Regency Club), and yes it was definitely quite hot there.
