Its been a while since I have rented from National / Enterprise / Alamo. I was looking at the Chrischurch airport and Alamo has by far the best rates. It says the rental will be handled by Enterprise / National ! Are the cars the same or do you get the beaters with Alamo ? I even tried a Christchurch pickup and an Auckland return. I guess it is ok to take the ferry ? Hertz makes you drop it off and pick up another rental on the other side. Any recent experiences with Alamo in New Zealand would be appreciated.
