At LAX the very long walk from plane to immigration can be difficult for mobility impaired (yes, there is wheelchair service that grows ever slower and less competent). Then the need to claim luggage before customs, then deposit luggage for connection, then often going back through security on the way to connection gate. I welcome options but even I won’t pony up $4,200 for this service. The need is there for a semi affordable solution for those willing to pay. Global entry addresses non of the above.
