Mid October… You’ll have to report first!

Called the TA again yesterday for an unrelated topic, and asked the question again to get another data point.
The answer was less than reassuring. The agent told me that any email sent after the ticket was issued takes precedence over whatever was previously written, and that I should not expect to be able to take the carryon suitcase.
They didn’t seem to understand why reducing a service after the sale is a problem, and offer me to change flights to AF operated for a mere 50% increase so that « I could bring my suitcase worry-free ».
Thinking I picked HV over the half-priced, more conveniently timed Easyjet just because I didn’t want to deal with last minute luggage drama… lesson learned
