It's doable when they see the F availability, for sure. I've been successful a few times with using a SWU to go from J to F on BA. It just seems that award availability does not always translate to SWU availability, most likely for some obscure annoying IT reason that it's not worth them spending the effort to determine and fix.

According the rules, there just needs to be an AA-
marketed segment on the itinerary.
