Le Meridien is being re-branded as a Marriott. They already removed the name from the building and the renovation should end in a couple of months, which will lead to the "opening" of the Marriott.
Walking on Changklan Rd. and Loikroh Rd., going to the night bazaar, you can see how depressed the area is, with most of the good stores that have closed.

On my earlier post, I was only referring to the urban part of the city and bringing up the new or re-branded hotels.
