An update on this topic for others in a similar situation: I never received a response to the claim. I used the webform to enquire about the claim about 3 weeks later, to which someone responded via email asking mewhat I had lost. My subsequent email was not responded to.
I went in person to the lost and found at HTW. They were very helfpul and after 15' of searching confirmed they did not have my wallet.
There seem to be mixed experiences on the new webpage: some people online claim they got a response back within days, but it does not always work.
