My bag (on TAP) was delayed when I landed in Europe from LHR. I'm a cardholder in the US
I filed a delayed baggage claim via CSR for ~$1000 for my wife and I (roughly $100/day/person for the first 5 days of our trip)
The bag was never found, so I filed a lost bag claim with CSR/eclaimsline for the amount of the contents of the bag. I'm currently waiting for TAP to provide a settlement amount based on their view of the contents of the bag.

I'm being told that you can't have both--that once the bag moves from delayed to lost, the $1,000 in delay benefits disappears and is replaced by the lost baggage coverage. is this accurate?
