I vaguely recall that if you book FHR rates online in Canada, it books via Expedia in the back end. The booking confirmation will show Expedia as the supplier.
If you want to get your Marriott Bonvoy benefits and earn points/nights, you will need to call in and ask the AMEX Platinum agent to book it in Sabre and ask for the Marriott confirmation. Note that some agents don't know how to properly enter Marriott Bonvoy numbers correctly and simply add it to the "remarks" field in the Sabre PNR (this doesn't "transmit" to Marriott). They need to enter /ID-XXXXXXXXX with XXXXXXXXX being your Bonvoy number as part of the "sell" request.
Once you get the Marriott confirmation number, you can look it up on the Marriott website and add your Marriott Bonvoy number if it is not already in the booking.
