Well, concerns and gripes and wishes about “what could be” about WestJet from a passenger perspective are because we’re all passengers here on FlyerTalk.

This is a forum for WestJet customers, not for the Onex finance department. Pretty natural that folks here will lament downgrades to the WestJet passenger experience or network … even if it gives Onex more money. And I doubt anyone in this kind of forum would applaud any Ryan-ization just because it might feed more profit to the parent co.

And I still find the press release brag about their new schedule giving them utter extreme domination of the mid tier of Canadian airlines (or “airline”?) both odd and funny.
