First, it is not uncommon that different routings will show up on award searches versus cash searches. And it is possible you bought the last award ticket.
Second, even if there is a revenue ticket that allows for that routing, it may simply be that the fares that allowed for that routing are sold out. Delta doesn't cancel flights in the middle of the week, and if the flight were actually canceled, the segments would be canceled individually.
Third, and perhaps most importantly, I'm seeing your flight routing BOS-LAX-SJD for sale--though basic economy and first class are sold out



That said, it is probably likely that there will be changes to these flights in the next 10 months. Even if one or more of the flights were canceled, there is more than sufficient time for you to await automatic rebooking. It is extraordinarily unlikely that DL will stop serving SJD entirely, even in the off-season.
