Interesting, the stay we had here was right before COVID and during lockdowns we used to talk about how we missed travel but always add, not this hotel -- it's captured our minds as the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. I still remember the front desk charging $38 each for two kids to (reject) the undercooked breakfast and how rude/indifferent the staff were.
Stayed here several times before the pandemic and thought it was Ok.. would not be on my worst list by any means, but always interesting to see other's pov. Nice gardens, long walk with luggage to rooms, and rooms did vary. When there were three of us, we had a fairly large room but know there are various sizes. Glad to see that it is no longer an MIQ facility and it that tourism is getting back to normal. Was in NZ earlier this year, but skipped CC this time around. In the summer, beautiful gardens.
