Does anyone have any experience with WestJet damaged baggage claims? I filed one, and they eventually responded (3 months later) offering me either a replacement bag:

The bag options provided will be comparable in brand, price, and size to the one that was damaged, and you can select the one that works best for you. There will be no charge to you, and the bag will be shipped directly to your provided address.
or a $150 CAD travel bank credit that expires after 1 year (I told them that my bag was purchased for roughly $130 CAD).
I'd prefer to get a new bag, since I'm not certain if I'd be able to use the travel bank credit before it expires. However, they don't provide any info on what replacement bags are available (presumably until I select that option), and I don't want to be stuck with a bad bag. Does anyone have any experience with Canada Luggage Depot or damaged baggage claims in general?
