Update - after that conversation last week I have not called - was traveling and really did not have the stamina to prepare for HUACA and spend >1h on calls.
SQ tried to call me a couple of times, at 3 AM in the morning my time despite I have the correct address/time zone defined in the profile. Obviously, calls went to voicemail and they did not leave any voicemail either.

Today I received an email stating 'Refund Amount: CCVI 125.20 USD' will be credited to my credit card.

So seems the situation resolved by itself without my interaction.
