Does anyone know if there is a way to change over an award ticket to a different person?

Normally this is not possible and the only option is to cancel and hope that the award space will be re-released (which is unlikely with ANA right now).

However I had an experience a while ago where the VS agent misspelled the other passenger’s name and when I called to get it rectified they said that ANA does not allow name changes even for spelling mistakes (appears to be correct). But the agent managed to “park” the space and reissue a new ticket.
